Priscilla Lui

Priscilla Lui (*1983) was trained as an arts student in college before studying Industrial Design at the National University of Singapore. Upon graduation, she practised as an industrial designer at the Design Incubation Centre, and is an integral part of the team that designed the award-winning D.Lab’s collection “Objects Around the Tablescape”.

In 2010, Priscilla Lui and Timo Wong founded Studio Juju. The studio designs with fresh perspectives and emotional connection in mind. Each project is a union of simplicity and warmth, utility and whimsy, refinement and relevance.

Studio Juju has been honoured the ‘Designers of the Future’ by Design Miami/ Basel in 2011, based on a body of work that demonstrates originality in the creative process, a high level of refinement in the finished pieces, and for its noteworthy contribution to contemporary design discourse. In 2014, their work ‘Rabbit & the Tortoise Collection’ for Living Divani was awarded the Singapore President’s Design of the Year for offering a fresh, alternative perspective and demonstrating delicate design sensibility. In 2024, the studio was included in a global survey of 100 of the most creative and innovative product designers working today in the book published by Phaidon, Designed for Life: The World’s Best Product Designers.

Today, Studio Juju is based in Singapore and is active in several fields ranging from industrial design projects, design editions, exhibition design and collaborations in spatial and art projects.
