Pradyumna Vyas

Prof. Pradyumna Vyas is the President-elect of the World Design Organisation (WDO) and Senior Advisor for Design Promotion and Innovation at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).

With more than 38 years of professional and teaching experience in different spheres of design, Prof. Vyas was associated with the National Institute of Design for 30 years, first as a faculty member and later as the Director from 2009-2019.

Prof. Vyas acquired Masters in Industrial Design from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and was awarded an Honorary Master of Arts degree from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, United Kingdom in 2010.

Through the India Design Council, Prof. Vyas launched the India Design Mark, I-Mark in association with the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), on the lines of the Good Design Award (G-Mark).

Prof. Vyas was a jury member of the G-Mark in 2012-2014 and 2016, German Design Award 2024, the Design Intelligence Award 2024, the Taiwan International Students Design Competition 2024, and the Golden Pin Design Award 2024.
