Norman Teh is a product design leader with 12+ years of experience in building products, brands, and businesses. He’s deeply fascinated by how businesses, communities, and ecosystems converge, evolve, and shape the world around us. This understanding enables him and, by extension, the teams he leads to operate with greater clarity, courage, and care in driving long-term impact through strategic design, ecosystem partnerships, and a relentless focus on customer excellence.
He recently wrapped up 5½ years at Grab as a Senior Design Manager, where he had the privilege of building teams and leading design on the core experience across Support, Comms, Enterprise, Safety, Identity, Trust, and Family Experiences for 180+ million users across 500 cities in Southeast Asia. Prior to Grab, he was at Merck Sharp & Dohme, focusing on improving healthcare accessibility, affordability, and literacy and before that, at Sephora, building the multi-sided marketplaces.
Outside of work, he shares his insights as a writer, moderator, and speaker. He’s been previously nominated as a young gun for Malaysia at Antalis and has been featured in Business Times, Singapore Economic Development, The Straits Times, art4d, MTV Asia, The Breakfast Show, Juice magazine, and more.
