Markus Roselieb

Founder of Chiangmai Life Architects and Chiangmai Life Construction, Markus has won many awards for his visually stunning and sustainable design.

His design philosophy is rooted in three core principles: Functionality, Sustainability, and Smiles, ensuring that his creations are not only memorable but also practical, eco-friendly, and emotionally engaging.

Markus primarily employs bamboo and clay/earth to craft these bioclimatic spaces using flowing organic lines, ensuring they blend seamlessly into their natural surroundings. Natural materials automatically create a connection by touching the heart and the organic curves enhance this connection by bringing us closer to nature’s own forms.

Markus believes that integrating modern engineering science and technology with natural materials opens limitless possibilities to transform today’s architecture.

Markus is also the Co-founder of Panyaden International School promoting a new form of education that is value-based and gives children a framework of trusted eternal values combined with an international curriculum of distinguished academic excellence, focusing on creativity, closeness to nature, and environmental sciences.

A medical doctor by training from the University of Vienna, Austria, Markus is an autodidact architect who learned architecture through passion, observation, and by gathering experience through actively designing and building since his student days.
