
Chun Chuan co-founded Pinch Design in 2003 with the mission to elevate the role of design in driving business success. Before establishing Pinch Design, he served as a senior designer in the Design Division at Intraco Limited, Singapore’s industrialization trailblazer. There, he gained experience across diverse sectors, including automotive, food and beverages, engineering, telecommunications, and building materials.
With over two decades of expertise in design practice, Chun Chuan specializes in helping organizations achieve service innovation objectives through design-led solutions. His experience spans client engagement, project management, and brand design communication consultation. He strongly believes in understanding the needs of both clients and their customers, using design as a bridge between business goals and impactful solutions.
Chun Chuan’s commitment to advancing the design profession is reflected in his roles with the Design Business Chamber Singapore (DBCS). As an Executive Committee (EXCO) member (2021–2023) and Honorary Treasurer (2023–Current), he advocates for the transformative power of design in driving both business impact and societal progress.
Beyond his professional work, Chun Chuan has volunteered with MyCommunity since 2019, contributing to community-building efforts. As part of the Community Design team, he played a pivotal role in designing Singapore’s first community museum in Queenstown, fostering inclusivity and intergenerational cohesion through participatory design.
As a dedicated trainer and facilitator, Chun Chuan nurtures professional growth through adjunct training with institutions such as raiSE-SG and Nanyang Polytechnic. He demonstrates how design thinking, customer-centric journeys, and data-driven insights can address customers’ needs effectively. His credentials include certification as a Singapore Certified Management Consultant (TÜV SÜD) and an ACLP-Certified Adult Trainer and Facilitator.
Driven by a strong belief in the power of good design to create positive societal change, Chun Chuan views design not merely as a tool for aesthetics but as a strategic means to solve complex problems and foster inclusivity.
