Cheryl Lim

Upon graduating with the Masters of Architecture from National University of Singapore, Cheryl Lim honed her skills at various notable firms like CSYA and W Architects, working closely with mentors like Sonny Chan and Mok Wei Wei who have profoundly shaped her approach to architectural design.
She has designed several award winning projects that adapt existing historic structures and natural spaces such as, St James Power Station (at W architects; URA Architectural Heritage Award 2022 and SIA Architectural Design Award 2022), as well as JTC CleanTech Three (at Architects61; Architizer + A awards 2023, World Architecture Festival 2023 Finalist, SIA Architectural Design Award 2023).
Recently recognised as part of URA’s fourth Edition of 20 Under 45 programme to celebrate young and emerging registered architects in Singapore, Cheryl believes that creativity isn’t always sparked by grand visions or lofty inspiration. More often, it arises from the overlooked and underappreciated details of everyday life. By reframing the familiar, she seeks to transform ordinary elements and spaces into something unexpected. For her, good design cuts through the clutter of generic imagery and information, enabling people to rediscover a sense of wonder and meaning in the built environment.
