Ronnie Tan

Ronnie Tan is the Creative Director of Landscape at WATG, a preeminent global leader in luxury hospitality design that has just crossed its milestone 80 years in 2025. He is an accredited Landscape Architect, ABC Waters Professional and is a Past President of the Singapore Institute of Landscape Architects (SILA).
Ronnie specializes in landscape architecture, master planning, urban design and ecological design and has worked on a myriad of projects of varying scales ranging from master plans to private developments.
Ronnie straddles practice and academia, and has research interests in autonomous urbanism, parametric design application for landscape architecture and sustainable urban development and has taught at the School of Design, Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore, and NUS Cities, College of Design and Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS) where he led transdisciplinary research studios in architecture, landscape architecture and urban design, with a focus on sustainability and climate resilience within the highly urbanized city context.
