Yah-Leng is the Founding Creative Director/Principal of Foreign Policy Design Group, a strategy and design office based out of the tropical island of Singapore. The second person and first female designer from Singapore to be inducted into the prestigious Alliance Graphique Internationale, founded as an association for global top designers. She has also co-created the official museum store Gallery & Co at the National Gallery Singapore.
Yah-Leng was formally trained at the Art Institute of Boston before moving to New York City where her creative career began. In 2007, she moved back to her hometown of Singapore where she co-founded Foreign Policy Design Group. Her works have been also recognized and honored by D&AD, TDC, Tokyo TDC, ADC, AIGA and many important design platforms and publications. Yah-Leng was the President of The Design Society Singapore and she had sat on the advisory board of the Temasek School of Design Singapore. She speaks and judges regularly at festivals, conferences and institutions globally. She also kickstarts and organizes creative events and platforms such as Out of Office, Design Pasar, Design Diplomacy, Foreign Policy Summer School, The Swap Show etc. Yah-Leng was named one of The Disrupters and Industry Leaders in 2017-2020 on The Tatler 300 List by Singapore Tatler. She is also Asia’s Most Influential in 2021 by Tatler and was also named Asia’s Most Stylish by Tatler.
