Over the span of three decades, Thierry has honed his design expertise across the globe from Canada to Singapore. His experiences include designing new passenger experiences for the first French high-speed train TGV Duplex to powering corporate innovation with large organisations in Japan.
Thierry likes to challenge himself by always taking the path off the beaten track: it is the only way to quench his thirst for adventures and human narratives. Besides running Atelier Modus, he teaches design thinking in the hope of breeding the next generation of inventors, engineers, entrepreneurs and business leaders with a good balance between analytical and creative thinking at the National University of Singapore and the Singapore Management University.
He has been appointed Design Thinking Mentor by the Singapore InfoComm Media Development Authority to coach start-ups in developing user-centric digital solutions. He is currently member of the Advisory Committee for the Media, Arts and Design School at Singapore Polytechnic.
Trained as an industrial designer, his works have been selected by the Association of Canadian Industrial Designers to represent Canada in various international Design Exhibitions. He is also the recipient of the Excellent Design Award from the Japan Design Foundation.
