Michael Yang

Michael has been working in the industrial design industry since 2004. He is currently the CEO of startup company – Vogito Innovation in AUO Group(TW), leading his team in the development of LED lighting products and achieving more than 30 international design awards.

Michael has clinched numerous awards, including the IF Design Award (DE), Red Dot Design Award (DE), German Design Award (DE), International Design Excellence Award (US), Good Design Award (JP), A’Design Award Gold & Silver (IT) and Gold Pin Design Award (TW).

In addition to his corporate duties, Michael has also been involved in design industry associations and teaching for an extensive period of his profession.He not only serves as the Vice Chairman of the Chinese Industrial Design Association, but also the Founder and CEO of Vogito Innovation Co (摯拓創新), a start up created through the AUO Group intrapreneurship program, specialising in UV sterilised foldable masks in response to the pandemic that emerged in 2019. Michael also has over a decade of teaching experience and currently holds the position of Adjunct Specialist Professor of Design at both the National Taipei University of Technology and National Tsing Hua University.
