Mary Reisel

Mary is a professional anthropologist and design thinking strategist who runs research projects in Japan and Asia since 2000. She is invested in creating original products and advanced tools by merging knowledge and methods of social sciences, data analysis, computer science and behavioral economics.

Mary has extensive professional experience spreading globally and encompassing multidisciplinary knowledge nand design thinking processes. She is a consultant in innovation projects, a mentor in the course Design Thinking at Stanford/Great Learning, and a lecturer at The Confederation of Indian Industry, CII. She pursues her academic career along her business research and innovation work. She was the founder and manager of RCA-JAPAN, a consultancy specializing in market research and branding, and worked for eight years as tech anthropologist at Rakuten, Japan’s leading Internet and global e-commerce business. She is invited to be a guest lecture in business and academic conferences, as well as U.N. special events and workshops. She is a member of The Algorithmic State, Market, and Society, run by the European University, and contributes in design events, technological innovations, and above all maintaining ethics in the world of technology and advanced AI.
